The church Santa Maria delle Grazie is a real treasure trove of wonders. The architecture by Bramante is a typical design of the Renaissance period. In the refectory the worldwide famous Last Supper by Leonardo. The Last Supper is a Renaissance masterpiece, painted in Milan by Leonardo da Vinci between 1495 and 1498. It was commissioned by Duke Ludovico Sforza for the refectory of the monastery of Santa Maria delle Grazie. In the painting the Renaissance virtuosity reached its peak. Casa degli Atellani, Leonardo's Vineyard
La Vigna di Leonardo (Leonardo’s Vineyard) is the land that Ludovico Sforza, Duke of Milan, gave to Leonardo in 1498. Here Leonardo da Vinci grew his grapes for making wine, while he was working on The Last Supper in the refectory of the convent of Santa Maria della Grazie, just on the other side of the Last Supper. A wonderful place to be discovered!

Church San Maurizio Maggiore
San Maurizio Maggiore is a wonderful church, entirely decorated with frescoes of lombard artists of the 16th century. Its uniqueness lies in the frescoes depicting mostly holy female figures, due to the fact that this was a Benedictine monastery in the past.

Sforza Castle
The Sforza Castle, fortress and Ducal Palace, one of the main monuments in Milan, had different embellishments and refurbishments during its history, to become a symbol of of the city up to now. It was also the headquarter of the Sforza family that hosted Leonardo da Vinci for about twenty years. Inside, a room with a forest painted by Leonardo, the biggest revelation of the earliest restauration, and a masterpiece by Michelangelo, the Pietà Rondanini.

Sforza Castle Museum

& Michelangelo’s Pietà Rondanini
A visit to the museum reveals the beautifully preserved palace of the Sforza family. Several frescoes decorate the ceilings: the Sala delle Asse, designed by Leonardo da Vinci combining a naturalist depiction with a strong symbolism, the frescoes in the Ducal Chapel and the private rooms of Galeazzo Maria Sforza.
The Castle hosts other interesting civic museums ranging from ancient and Egyptian art to paintings, musical instruments and 21st century furniture.
A special room is dedicated to the real masterpiece 'Pietà Rondanini', an unfinished sculpture by Michelangelo, the last work he carved in the final days of his life.

Codex Atlanticus by Leonardo
The Ambrosiana gallery (Pinacoteca Ambrosiana) is a true gem in Milan, a museum inside the historic building of the Ambrosiana (where there is also a library) that contains masterpieces by Raphael, Botticelli and Caravaggio. The main attraction is the entire section dedicated to Leonardo's Codex Atlanticus, with the original drawings of Leonardo. A visit with us worths!
