LEONARDO DA VINCI’S VINEYARD

La Vigna di Leonardo (Leonardo’s Vineyard)is the land that Ludovico Sforza, Duke of Milan, gave to Leonardo in 1498. Here Leonardo da Vinci grew his grapes for making wine, while he was working on The Last Supper in the refectory of the convent of Santa Maria della Grazie, just on the other side of the Last Supper. MUSEO DEL NOVECENTO - The Museum of the Twentieth Century

A major new location in Milan. 400 works reflect the whole of the 20th century art and contemporary artists in a city like Milan which was the cradle of artistic movements in that period. It starts with the Fourth State by Pellizza da Volpe and ends with Futurism and Metaphysical, then Boccioni, Modigliani, De Chirico, Marino Marini, Sironi, Fontana and many others.

MUSEO ARCHEOLOGICO

How was Milan in Roman times? It was a real imperial city, the capital of the Roman Empire with the palace, the teather and the baths .This is testified by ancient statues, vases, the famous all glass Trivulzio cup , mosaics, inscriptions and the model that reconstructs the city. The museum was recently expanded, and now you can visit the polygonal tower of the 3rd century with early medieval frescoes (13th century), the new medieval and Etruscan sections, and one section dedicated to ancient music.
